In 1996 we moved into a house, that year I scared the kids a little and found out I had a
perverse feeling of joy from it. The following year I did a little more and then next a lot
more! Now I set my house up at a graveyard complete with over a dozen hand carved tombstones,
a coffin, lighting effects, smoke effects, sound effects, air powered animatronics, and over 60 feet of cemetery fencing
complete with arched sign, candle lit lanterns, 2 complete realistic skeletons and gates!
As a result of the effort I go through I have met many of my neighbors I might not have otherwise
met. People stop by at different times of the year to ask what I'm planning for the next years night!
I have had people stop by just to say how much they appreciate the decorations "for the kids of course" and
I can't tell you how many have stopped to ask what the deal is with the ghost in the window, and then
there are the large numbers of adults that come down just to see what all the TOTs are talking about!
Overall it has enriched our lives greatly.
