AHHHHH Leave me alone... this damn Code Red Worm is back today... we are up so far but I fear there is a battle about to blow down! Read about it!

Ok for those who are keeping up... I figured out how to make a bootable ghost cd or any bootable cd for that matter. I have 11 identical machines that I needed to intall an OS on and configure, one problem, they only have cd drives. So I booted one up flattened the HD, installed my fav OS on it, installed some other software on it, and used Ghost to image the partition. Then I made another bootable cd with Ghost and the image and viola! It takes less than 15 minutes to image up a machine now... to sweet, plus I have a custom "recovery disk" now. Gotta love technology.

For all you geeks out there PCMods has a new version of thier site online, they have the cold cathode light kits and plexi kits for your case mods. I personally have the plexi kit and a regular cool blue neon kit in my case... shweet! Anyway check them out... any reason to use power tools, that is my motto! Honey where is the Dremel???

Meet the baddest man on the planet! Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France for the 3rd straight time, all this is Triple-Bad Ass but he did all this after having testiclular(ouuuch) cancer that had spread through his body. Winning this event 3 times in a row is manly enough, but being a cancer survivor and winning it 3 times after that well that takes SACK ... figurativly speaking. I'm sure this story is everywhere on the net so... read about it at your fav news site.

IT'S COMING!!!! One of my all time favorite movies is coming out with a sequel ... maybe! In 1983 TRON came out. The movie was ground breaking in the way it used computer graphics with live action. Zoom ahead 20 years... Tron 2.0. I already own a copy of the DVD but if the new one is better I'll be giving my old copy away!

Hey I ran in to R yesterday... turns out his car is almost ready to race, it sure does look cool! We need to get around see them more often.

For Mark... Happy Birthday! My friend Mark whom I met in England has been on assignment in Thialand for what seems like forever! Today is his birthday ... Happy Birthday!!!!

Well Planet of the Apes was as good as the first and that is saying alot... I really liked it, I got a bit confused at the end so if any of you see and care to explain how that ending worked let me know!

Real short blog today, sorry. I've been hauling machines and rebuilding systems all damn day today and yesterday, I only have about 13 to go. Anyway if anyone of you knows how to make a ghost boot CD please let me know I'd sure save a ton of time if I could do that.

Well my light saber is finaly ready hope to have it and the conversion kit in the next week or so. My fathers day present is finaly on the way as well. See It It only took about dozen phone calls and emails. "it was swirling around on the server somewhere..." WTF does that mean.

Saturday we did it... we took Dade to see Jurrasic Park III. I was pretty unsure about it since was PG13 and all but I read a few reviews and decided to go. There was only one scene where I needed him to turn his head so I did the old grabing his popcorn trick and got him to look away long enough for the gore to pass. Overall the movie was not great but not bad either. Next up Planet of the Apes... I'm very ready to see this one, Dade will stay home for that... the original really creeped me out when I was little.

I took my extension ladder to G's to help take the dead vines off his house Saturday and look at the damage to his new car. Etension ladders and me usually equal injury, it's long story but we came away injury free. As for his new car, well it's more than door ding but not horrible. Still sucks that you can't keep a car new for more than 5 days in this city!

My dad has finaly entered the world of DVD(as soon as I hook it up)! Yea!!! now if I could just get him to get a Tivo...

Did anyone see the 'stros last night :) ooohhh baby this race is heatin up! Angie had tix to the game thru her work, it was a power mangers day or something so I told that's ok you go network with your people... well she knew she was in trouble when she found her seat... front row third base line at the bend... s'ok I'll get over it. #$%^$%^^%$^&*%#$$^&*(^$^&@@

I took Dade to see a 3d-Imax yesterday and he loved it. I think it had to much motion sickness stuff in it but the graphics and 3d-ness was quite good.

Oh yea my worm adventure apparently was going on around the world at the same time. The Code Red worm whacked the crap out of tons of machines Thursday and made the news on Friday, I saw it on CNN, in the Chronicle, on TechTV, USA Today, SlashDot and heard it on the radio. Apparently it was set to flood the White House web site with a Distrubuted Denial of Service attack at 5p Pacific. To bad the White House found out and moved the server to another IP number first. HA! I feel so privelidged to be part of such a news worthy event... uhhh not really.

For those who want to know what a DDOS(see above paragraph) attack is go here. This guy wrote it up in the best way I have ever seen. It is very good reading and fully illustrates the fact that internet is really a volitile fragile place, and that a 13 year old kid can flat out knock you out and there is nothing you can do about it. Have a read.

Ok have you ever wanted to know about movies looooooong before they are out, try this link. Warning they spoil movies by telling the plot sometimes, but they always tell you they are gonna spoil. They have stuff like what is happening on the new Star Wars movie and insights to the new movie called ALI ... a movie about Cassius Clay(Muhamed Ali) starring Will Smith... yep the skinny Fresh Prince! Anyway have fun, but be warned there is some graphic language sometimes.

Ok add this to my technolust wish list... mmmm wi-fi too...

Well I have finaly decided on a PDA... I know I'm so behind the times, but anyway Toshiba has come out with a new Pocket PC color PDA. It is as thin as a Palm Vx almost, and has a Type II CF card slot and an SD mem card slot, no sleeve needed. Just drop one of these 5G CF cards in it YES! It's running a 206Mhz processor that is the same as the iPaq. Considering Toshiba's track record with laptops I think I'll be in line to get one of these gems on August 20th. that's all for now... i.am.sam
