Those who know me know I like Cirque du Soleil and a performance is coming to Texas! Dralion will start having advanced sale duckets very soon, I highly recomend it. I have seen Mystere(twice), O and Quidam, and I would see any of them again in an instant! Cirque is a circus like nothing you have ever seen I really don't know how to describe it, it is very original, it is often very funny(get there early), it has incredible music that you cannot believe is live, and you are damn sure that someone is going to die in every performance. See it once and you will be hooked! They are coming to Dallas and Houston for sure check the site for more places... I am so psyched about this!

Angie,Dade and I went to Wings again last night and it was DAMN good... gotta love those 2 for Tuesdays! Tonight is the 1st the meeting of our new home owners association. I am going to make sure my Halloween rights are protected... my friend L thinks I should try to be on the board, I'm not sure about that, but maybe.

Well I finally got my phones datacable to work with this software. If you have a Nokia I recomend it. Voicestream still will not let me change the startup logo but hey at least the op logo is mine now!

Messages on the Halloween-L list are starting to pick up steam again I'm getting about 150 or so per day and I'm really feeling the heat to get working on my H projects... time is a-wastin' now was that thing supposed to take 120v or 12v ... just plug it in and see what happens. p.s. if you hear a loud boom followed by a loud hiss coming from Baytown later tonight that meant I got the wrong voltage... that's all for now. i.am.sam

    Short and sweet today...

Can't get your S.O. to ummmmm, hum a tune... try this. There's alot more on this site that you should like if you are male!

Ok are you having Napster withdrawal, I used to like WinMX but I have found something better. Morpheus uses the Kazaa engine and yields the best results I've seen so far... can't find the link to download it try here.

In the spirit of putting in here what I am looking at ... This place has some very cool theme kits for partys. Oddly enough it's called Stumps but hey don't judge a book by it's cover there is some really cool stuff here if you need to outfit a dance or something.

    At Burning Man

Damn I'm still reeling in the wake of the DM concert how awesome was that! Well Angie and me went to the new theaters at the SanJac mall in Baytown last night to see The Fast and the Furious ok movie, if you like cars. The theater was only so-so ... I'm thinking we are still going to go to AMC Gulfpoint on 45 South. anyWHO... today's bloggin brings some good stuff...

First let me start with consumptionjunction.com. My friend G told me about this site and really about this video! WOW! too cool and there are lots of other things to see. The video is fine but some of the other things are not for the faint of heart, so I warned ya!

Burning Man - for those who have never seen this it is site to behold, I hope to see it in person one day until then www.burningman.com should satisfy your curiosity. Be sure to check out the images, it will make you want to go!

As some of you know I'm building a theater in my house.(yea for like 5 years now!?!) Anyway if you like that sort of thing you can't be without this site.

In case you are dead click here.

You thought you knew what hacks were ... check it out at MIT. I like the great droid under best of!

    Darwin alert!
A Chicago woman took revenge into her own hands quite successfully, when she bit off the testicles of her rapist during the attack. The 21-year-old man should have known better than to accost a woman twice his age and ferocity. When he dropped his trousers and forced her down, she seized her opportunity and severed his gonads, rendered him permanently sterile to the satisfaction of all.

The woman walked to police headquarters a block away and turned the testicles over to police. Shortly thereafter a man with a matching injury appeared at the Michael Reese Medical Center. Police put two and two together and cordoned off the injured man's hospital room, while doctors attempted, unsuccessfully, to reattach the rapist's genitals.

Hey it's not death but it is another way out of the gene pool!

Because some you don't know what the Darwin Awards are go here and read.

    the morning after...

Houston Texas in the middle of July in an outdoor venue, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING! They were obviously thinking very clearly! You forget how good a band like DM can sound until you hear them at an outdoor venue such as this.

As Angie and I were walking up to the arena I swore I had never heard of Poe, the opening act before. I tell a lie! While I did not recognize one song they played I had heard and seen them on an Audiofile special on TechTV. Poe was quite good lot's of energy and had a very DM like sound, overall a good choice for an opener.

After Poe left the stage roadies swapped the stage over, the crowd crammed in and sun went down. There was an intro tape playing on the P.A. system on the arena and as that got louder and louder you eventually realized that it was now coming through the concert system speakers, then the lights went out, the stage became bathed in a blood red light Easy Tiger was playing at full volume when Martin came out on stage and broke into an instrumental of Dream On. The crow was at fevered pitch at this point and with the crowd standing you could see just how many fans they still draw. As the rest of the band silently fell in to place they broke out into a very pumped up version of The Dead Of Night and David Gahan TOOK the stage and the crowd! He danced, he twirled, he sang and proved he one of the best front men in the world. They play songs from Exciter during the first half of the show but mixed in some familiarity with Walking In My Shoes. The show was a bit slow at first but had some stellar moments, during Waiting For The Night To Fall an effective background image of falling raindrops was showing on the very large screen behind the band and a very powerful version of Freelove showed that David's voice hasn't lost a tick. The show picked up steam and soon the crowd was singing and dancing to the likes of Enjoy The Silence, I Feel You and an excellent I Feel Love. The band wrapped it up with Personal Jesus and the crowd doing the now DM staple arm waving. After the obligatory encore cheering they came out with Martin doing Home and David doing Clean and then a surprise to most of the crowd a fresh rendition of Black Celebration(my personal highlight of the show). Finally to end the encore they played Never Let Me Down Again as they slowly left the stage.

Overall the concert was very good, DM sounds as good or better than they do on their recordings. The heat which I thought was going to be a factor was not and there was not one bug in site. I enjoyed the diverse crowd, and it was diverse, and left feeling very satisfied. I guess I'll start the countdown now for the next DM concert here... i.am.sam

Well it hasn't rained in about a week here so I'm sure Saturday the DM concert is gonna get drenched! ... looking at the forecast YEP! of course this changes by the minute!

Funny thing happened today... Dade was playing N64 while I mowed the grass and after an hour he comes to show me his thumb and a little piece of skin hanging off of it. He had a blister from cranking the stick to hard! Anyway he just can't seem to understand how it got there and why it's not gonna get any better until het puts down the controller. He's still playing... been about 3 hours now... I guess I better get him a tv in his room.

For all you skywatchers out there this Martian dust storm movie page is pretty cool...

What a bunch not knowing what the hell they are talkin' about a-holes! There are a bunch of media members that have probably never watched a race out there saying the Little E win in Daytona might have been fixed... did they even watch the race? They say he couldn't pass those cars in a restrictor plate race that easily. They are right if... those cars didn't suck! Ok let look at what happened...

    1. A wreck came out in the middle of green flag racing. There were cars who were at the tail end of the lead lap and had made thier last pit stop. There were others like E who needed to make the final pit stop still and they did during that yellow, which means all the cars in front of E were realy cars that were about to go a lap down but now, due to luck or good timing, were in the front. So yea he's gonna pass those slow cars easily.

    2. Did you watch the race? TStew and Benson were blocking like crazy! They certainly didn't move over and let him by!

    3. E was good in the turns, you could see it all night, he could beat you in the turns every lap but then you'd draft up in the straights. On those last few laps all his passes came in the turns! You could have predicted it, as a matter of fact Benny Parsons practically said it was gonna happen during the yellow.

    4. Did you even watch... there was so much fighting for position they were lucky there wasn't another wreck!

    5. Lastly TStew and Bobby were both up for the million dollar bonus or least one of them was I can't remember which. Now do mean to tell me that they are gonna let that million go when they have a shot at it in the closing laps? I don't think so. Please #18 was right there bumping him from behind 'til he slipped up and let Waltrip pass him.

So put it to bed... you can't call it bad just because it's that good... unless your name is Jeff and you drive a 24!
Oh yea TStew... you got screwed ... that was a bad call on the part of NASCAR...
