Well last night was just great... at 3:30 the alarm clock next door to our room started going off and did not stop until 5:30... I was awake but I thought if I call the front desk and wake everyone then they can't do anything about it we all have to lay there and listen so I just sucked it up and stared at the ceiling. Time for a long drive home... we started out the at the Zuni Grill, on the Riverwalk, for breakfast. Once again we hit a home run, is there a bad restaurant in S.A.? After that we visited the Alamo. It was very humbling to see this place and realize what had actualy happened there. Gentlemen were asked to remove thier hats and once inside you could see why... we only spent a few minutes inside but it was ...inspiring. After that I took Dade to Ripley's Believe It or Not where we saw an animatronic dinosaur and some other stuff that scared the poo out of him, checked out of the hotel and headed to the SAS outlet store.(SAS = San Antonio Shoes) Oops! Closed on Sundays! On the way back to Baytown we decided to go to Katy Mills Mall. We had never been there and damn we have got to go back, way to much for the short stop we had there. On to Baytown and now back home ... I am pooped! Where is my bed!

Looooong day today! Whew! We got up this moring bright and early and got breakfast at Starbucks, on the Riverwalk. Next we headed to Sea World. As usual the shows were great, and funny! and the rides were good too. Dade was ready to ride the Steel Eel but he needs to grow a few more inches. Four years old and already a daredevil and a half! He did ride the Texas Splashdown and the Rio Loco(got soaked) and was one worn out puppy when we got done!
When we got back to the Hotel there was a prom going on in the hotel. I think we got the last 2 parking spaces in the garage! Yikes! I took Dade swimming on the roof for a bit and then we got ready for dinner. Kim and Dale did thier own thing this night while the other 6 ate at Manduca on the Riverwalk... very good food!!!! After that it was late and since Dade was falling asleep at the table we decided to head on back to the room. Mom and Dad took a stroll and we started back, until we saw the Hagen Das shop! Of course the door was locked 2 hours and 10 minutes before the sign on the door said they would close! DAMN IT! So it's back to the hotel, oh wait! There is a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! Angie decides to get ice cream from them... while I'm waiting Janet and I accidentaly try a sample of the fudge! Big mistake! Janet ended up buying 3 chuncks of fudge for us... it was damn good to! Oh well off to bed... i.am.samu
As we do every Mothers Day we take a driving weekend trip somewhere. My mom and Dad, Angie's Mom, My sister and Dale, and of course the three of us go every year! This year we went to Sea World. I Pricelined a hotel room on the Riverwalk. We are staying at the Hyatt right here dead center of the best part of the river... way cool. As I look out of my window I see the Alamo, yes the actual Alamo. That means where my room is standing many years ago men were fighting and dieing for the GREAT state of Texas. Once we got here we went out on a little walk over to the Alamo but it was already closed for the day. So went down one leg of the Riverwalk and ended up at Landry's Seafood. After an hour wait we got seated and, as usual, the food was awesome. At this point it had been a long day and Dade was tired so went back to the room and crashed. We have an early day tomorrow! i.am.a.proud.Texan

Wow what a weekend... I have so much to say! Last Friday was spectacular... I did all of my rat killin' early so I could take Dade to see Spiderman.
We went to the Marq*E complex, got our tix and had dinner at Red Robin. Then we went down to the Putting Edge and played blacklight putt putt, be sure to click on the photo album. It was very cool, everything is black and accented with flourescent colors, the putting surface was black and it made the ball look like it was floating. All of the rooms had themes as well, so in one room you were in a castle and in the next underwater walking into a sharks mouth.
After that we went over to Jillians and Dade got to go bowling for the first time. The lanes there are pretty cool, when Dade's turn would come up the bumpers would come up then my turn would come and they would go down. Well it sorta worked, they broke and in the end they just stayed up. It was very much fun though. After that we went downstairs and played Skeeball and he beat me in Air Hockey.
After that Angie showed up and we went to the movie. The lines were very long but we got good seats. As sson as we sat down Dade spilled almost all of his popcorn so I had to make a mad dash for some more. The movie rocked! I liked it alot, it reminded me of the way I felt about the first Batman movie. Dade got a bit bored with it but he made through... that was Friday.
Saturday we woke up bright and early! Saturday was the day one of scuba open water testing. We passed the written tests on Thursday so we had two days open waters and we would be certified. We had to be at the Blue Lagoon in Huntsville at 8:30 so we left early. Once there we were the first buddy team to go out and get tested. I had incidences. First I dropped my mask in about 10 feet of water. Luckily I recovered it, then I found out what it was like to choke underwater... interesting, next my tank fell out of my BC while gettign ready to buddy breathe! FUN FUN FUN, next during the fun dive my mask came off in my hand, damn it! Finally I backed into a big 'ol pine tree trying to get out of someones way. Oh yeah and I got a killer sunburn.
Day 2... I was determined to have no incidents on Sunday but, before we even made it to Huntsville, DPS pulled me over. Damn... well I pulled right over and was cordial and told him I was speeding and I knew it and I was late and that was why I was hurrying. He gave me a warning... second time in a row that has happened. Anyway that was my only incident that day(other than sunburn pain)... Angie I both passed our certs and are now SSI certified for recreational open water diving!
Not much time today, I'm off to take my written test for my scuba cert.
This link is about how scientist have wired up rats to be remote controled, sort of. It's kinda neat how they did it.
W sent me this link about how Best Buy uses a wireless lan to connect the registers to the stores computer system. Well someone with the some wireless lan equipment they just bought at the store was out in the parking lot testing the gear and got a bunch of credit card data across... uh oh!
W also sent in this about how much people are ga-ga over the Aibo...
And finally S sent this link in a follow up to yesterdays Hubble stuff... some more cool pics!
That's the name of the game! you know I used to love basketball, now I can't stand to watch even a little. WTF is wrong with me! We went to scuba last night... man that is fun stuff, I can't wait to go on a real dive! Let get a few links in real quick.
NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Damn it I knew it! Another show I like is about to bite it! Are the Simpsons Calling it Quits? ... of course they are if I like it it dies... it's kinda like my friend E, everytime he starts to root for a NASCAR driver that driver gets killed. So now he's real careful about how much he roots for someone. Be sure to check out the photo gallery
Many many many of you are getting bombed with virii right now as we speak. This little bit about Klez seems to be the flavor of the the minute. It seems Klez is signing people up for mailing list around the world... so if you suddenly start receiving mail about tropical fish or outting on make up, you need to update your virus software.
Apparently all high school girls wear nothing but thongs now(where was this fad when I was in high school) and that is not on the dress code. So at some school dance some teacher decided to check each one out as they came in. Girls made to show underwear at school dance ... ummm you can't do that!
Spiderman is out this friday for those who have not seen any ads for it... :P

Try WackedUSA.com ... they have lot's of good flash games there, or maybe try the INSANIQUARIUM ... link provided by W ... it appears to be highly addictive so watch out! Ok no good blogger can pass this one up... the organization called, are you ready, "Come as you are". Is holding a masterbate-a-thon ... considering how many people just did the MS150 I think there should be alot of you who are just those kind of people who like to give it your all for charity! No I am not sponsoring you so don't ask!
For my last story here is a little piece about the Holiday Inn sign and what it meant to our culture, it's kind of a shame that it faded away.
All work and no play makes Sam a cranky so and so! I worked almost all weekend AGAIN! This time on this. I like it ok, they want color changes and stuff to occur, we'll meet in the middle of thier side since they are paying me! Anyway we went to Dade's musical friday night and that was a hoot and then Sunday Angie and I took out first scuba lesson... it is not a natural thing to breathe underwater. After the first few breaths everything was way fun though!
