Blogging today from inside HP. Just got back from a quick workout at the YMCA next door. Damn it's one hell of a drive out here! The facility is great though first class all the way. So far the people are nice, I'm on a bit of a tough project though. It's not so tough as it is confusing... just a lot of data to assimilate and make sense of.
Angie and I went to War of the Worlds last night. I liked it! So far no stinkers this summer... ROTS - Great!, Batman Begins - REALLY GREAT!, and now WOTWs pretty good! ... also mix in Cinderalla Man and Mr. and Mrs. Smith and you ogt a nice little set of flicks there.
Well for those who do not know it yet, I got the AXE last Thursday. It's not like I didn't see it coming. Hell I already had a phone interview set up for that day and the next day I got the job! It's a 3 month con2hire at HP out there at the old Compaq campus. Long drive but it's a job! Right before I'm going on vacation too. Am I bitter? a little, sorta not, I just think they made the wrong decision. I mean I saved them so much money last year it was insane. I saved at least double maybe 3 times my salary. NEst they said we want to continue to work with you and let you contract the changes. Now they are having second thoughts on that?! Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones... it's yet to be seen, begining of the end. More later.
