Howdy! It's been a while! I have to throw a quick couple of mind drippings at you...
Went to Kentucky for the Thanksgiving. It was great! long drive though... Angie's mom let us use her car which was great, would have had to rent otherwise. Dade got car sick on the way up, but thanks to a recent episode of Mythbusters we got some Ginger Root and that took care of things for the return trip.
We left late on Tuesday, and drove until 1:30am. We made it to Jackson, Mississippi. I had the laptop in the car with the GPS running which was great (thanks to this plugin with Mappoint. Anyway we about to stop when a car comes flying by us and is all over the road and obviously drunker than Cooter Brown. We watch as he swerves and slows and speeds up and eventually does not make the exit, takes out the exit sign, slides sideways across the grass, the exit, the grass, teh feeder and comes to rest in a car lot! I promise the exhaust on the car is screwed! He looked fine though so we pressed on and slept in Jackson.
Got up the next morning and went on to Kentucky where Angie's dad lives. It was a great weekend. Dade got to shoot a .22 for 4 hours straight and got pretty good in the end. Had a great Tday awesome food and a great time. We drove home on Saturday. 11.5 hours to get within 10 miles of Baytown only to get in a traffic jam that lasted 50 minutes.
on a side note... we recently got raised flower beds in front of our house. The other day we had a drainage problem, basically it drained into our house! I made a half ass attempt to fix what I thought the problem was but low and behold I did not. So my mom and dad went to check on our house since there was a big rain storm saturday(while we were on the way home) and found our entire kitchen full covered in water.(1/2 inch deep)
So I spent a major part of the day yesterday trying to fix said problem ... dug and dug and dug and I think I might have sorted it out but I think I need another big rain to find out for sure... what freakin mess.
