Well it finaly went all bad at the house. The contractor has decided to go back on our agreement and not finish what was he started. After a few words yesterday he threw down a few threats and walked off the job. Now comes the time when cooler head need to prevail but I'm going to have to wait see on that one.

Wow the weather was beautiful today! Clear as I've seen it in some time! Lot's got done on the house today... I think I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
We all lead hectic lives and with Thanksgiving coming those on the go might not have time to make a turkey dinner... well not to worry, because now there's turkey and gravy flavored soda ... yummmy!

To continue... so we are sitting here listening to the reports of flooding everywhere... most of the other floors got let go way earlier, but out floor decided to stay. There is almost no exit at 5pm the freeway is slammed the feeder flooded, the intersections flooded, the surrounding streets flooded... no where to go. Might as well stay and work... 6pm I've put in an extra hour, and start my blog entry, it has not been raining for 2 hours maybe the water has gone down enough to pass. Attention this is Aramco Security, at this time we are advising everyone with a car in the main lot to move your car to higher ground as water continues to rise in the area... yada yada yada ... WTF? It's not raining how high can it be? I walk over and look out the window... HOLY crap! where is the parking lot! Water has covered the entire lot to just shy of knee deep! Roll up the pants lose the shoes and get to wading... A bunch of decide to go next door to higher ground and the Outback Steakhouse! 2 hours go by Water has not gone down at all! ... I call home and get Angie to look up the traffic map online. It turns out that the Bayou right next to the office is out of its banks, but if I can get across to the south loop somehow it'll be smooth sailing ... left right through there around that barricade, duck in there through that parking lot over that curb avoid almost all of the water and bam I make it! Stella Link and 610! Smooth on to the 225 then it starts to rain, then the wind starts to blow then the emrgency broadcast system comes on and says there is a super cell right over Deer Park and is "likely" to produce tornados! As they are saying this I glance through the driving rain to my right and pass the sign that says "Welcome to Deer Park" nice... should I pull over ... nah press on at 10 MPH can't see anything eventualy I come out the other side and make it the rest of the way without incident. Maybe not as harrowing as some other's stories, but there you have it.

Another weekend in the books... did you know Baytown has a kick ass go cart track! Damn that was fun... we went out ther on friday night for a quick race and what a hoot! Anyway went to dinner on Saturday at Star Pizza with G,J,S,A and T! Other than a huge traffic jam getting there it was pretty damn good!
Work continues on the house... it's raining like crazy mad today and no leaks right now so that is pretty good. I have a few more speaker wires to run and I'll be ready for some sheet rock.

Today is our anniversary ... 9 years today. Going to P.F.Changs tonight. Once again I'm really pressed for time. The power in the building went out and all our servers crapped out ... half of the IT force was somewhere else and while I didn't help much I still was in there booting machine and stuff.

This weekend went screaming past... I started another web project and did some work on the room. I also took Angie out to see Revolutions again... with a little help from my friend E and some reading and research on the internet I have decided that there are 3 differenet ways to watch Revolutions. 1. Eat your popcorn and watch some kung fu! 2. Watch it with religion in mind either Christianity or Buddism they both apply there is some greek mythology thrown in as well. (this is the most rich version in my eyes) and 3. Watch it with phisophical slant ... choice vs. causality vs. significance
All 3 movies are very good and it is incredible the amount symbolism you can when start to look... how deep is the rabbit hole...
