DAMN IT did I F up last night. Angie went to see the 'stros get beat argghhh and I watched Dade. We went to see G, J and S and Dade had an absolute ball playing with their hamsters. Anyway when I went to put him to bed I went to get his cold medicine that he has been taking each night. Well we must have run out because all that was up there was some other stuff, and not the stuff he had been taking, no prob I read the label it's for kids his age, what's the dose, 2 tsp., no prob same the other stuff, down the hatch and off to bed. Angie gets home I ask her about it and she says yea we ran out 2 nights ago I just used the other stuff, 1/2 tsp. Huh no it's 2 tsp. right no it's 1/2... let me go look. Well let me tell you I felt genuine fear after I read that label. OH SHIT now what do I do? Quick let me call poison control...

"Texas Poison Center my name is Mike what can I help you with?"
"Ok I have a 3 year old...yada yada yada... did I screw up what do I do?"
"Well as long as it doesn't have Phedosomething or GuacoSomething or DextromaSomething we may be alright what does the ingredients say on the bottle?"
"Um all three of those are the first three listed!!!!" At this point I'm feeling like throwing up!
"Ok sir what are the amounts listed there?"
"100ml,500ml,300ml"
"Ok ok we are probably alright." Probably WTF!
"What do I do? Do I need to take him to the ER?"
"No if he's sleeping now that's good, the phedosomething makes your heart speed up dramatically but dextrosomething is like codine and will make you sleep. We need to watch out for the speeding heart rate, but if he's sleeping now that is probably not a worry. After that we need to make sure that he didn't get to much of the dextrosomething so you'll need to make sure you can wake him up, go now and wake him up and then wake him again in 3-4 hours, it's probably a good idea to let him sleep with you tonight."
"So I don't need to do anything else like give him a ton of milk or water?"
"No just make sure he's rousable every 3-4 hours, and call us back if his condition changes."
"Ok thanks! goodbye"
"goodnight"

So we did, he slept with us I woke him at 11 to come down I got up at 2:30 and made sure he could talk to me, and then again this morning at 5:30... I'm upset sitting here thinking about it. What if I had really F'ed up ... damn. I got lucky please everyone read the labels carefully. I read the label and read it wrong so read carefully!

Two fer! If I didn't say it already GO 'STROS! Stick it to the Subs again! 1st Place!

Anyway I just heard the report on Dale Eanrhardt's accident is about to be released... come on people let the man rest in peace. If you didn't know I was/am a huge #3 fan. I got all the gear, hell my son rides in a #3 car seat. When he died in February I was stunned. I really honestly did not feel right for days, maybe a week! Even right now I'm feeling horrible while thinking of it. The man was one of the people I had hoped my son could look up to. There are very few of these people left in the world. He played hard and made no bones about it. He didn't show off for making a move on the track that he was supposed to make and he was a very hard working man. Another person that comes to mind like that is Craig Biggio. He leaves it on the field every night. They can be down by 5 in the 9th and he still legs out an infield hit knowing there is no way he'll make it in time. He does not celebrate routine plays. Like I've said before he acts like he's been there. He also does the Sunshine Kids thing and keeps his nose clean in the puplic eye. Dade please take note! Anwyay I hope this report that comes out will put to rest all the speculation that has been flying around since this happened, and if there is something we can take away from this it's this: Plan for the future but live every day like it's your last, you never know when it will be...Now go and tell your family how much you love them.

Well I have to leave you with a quote...since I was thinking of Dade just now,

GO 'STROS!!!! THANK YOU G! G got me and J duckets to see the 'stros put a hurt on the Subs last night... it was very cool. We sat in the Crawford boxes 2nd row... and how cool is this I'm going again Thursday! Cha Ching!

At the game we were talkin and G said I should check out www.bmwfilms.com for the Guy Ritchie film. I had seen several of the others but that one IS pretty good.

Today starts off with a bang... I found this link when I first sat down this morning. If any of you remember the days of chat boards and or have been to the IRC you will get a kick out of it... WARNING IT'S 5+ MEGS Damn I have tears in my eyes...

What did you do this weekend? I took my son for ice cream after his haircut, we went swimming, I worked on Halloween props, and Angie and I watched 3 movies, Chocolat, The Mexican, and Saving Silverman.

Wooo hoo!!! I Tivoed up again, I got a DirectTivo unit Thursday on my way home. I like it! Couple of drawback to the old system but also a couple of new features I really like!

As those of you who read my blog know I've had some problems lately, namely the 24 hours starting Wednesday evening at 7:30. So I've installed the key in the picture on all my computers, let me know if you need one too!

Yesterday Dade and I went with J and S to the Childrens Museum. There was a ton of stuff to do there and Dade had a blast. I really liked the bubble room and the light exploration section. Take your smallish kids there, to cool!

My ANH Luke saber is paid for but not delivered yet, uggg, anyway turns out there were a bunch of deadbeats on the list but hopefully it's going to get resolved soon. Would you like to know more.

I have got to get this case for my home theater computer I'm building!

Dade starts school today! He's not at all scared about it either. I think he saw all the toys in the class and now he can't wait to go back.

I'm soooo sleepy today it's not even funny... after coding all weekend I decided to come in to work so I could code some more! Well we went to A's bday party Saturday night. It was fun Dade got to swim and we got to visit with everyone. E got glasses! He said he had a saggy eye... I thought they looked quite good on him though. Dade and me went swimming yesterday at mom and dads house, K and D were there trying to get him to dive, it was comical. Hey I finally got a memory stick, they are on megasale at Circuit City. I normaly avoid CC for thier role in the whole DivX thing but hey now it's just a cool codec.

Anyway first there was Tomb Raider, then came Final Fantasy whats next Pong the Movie? or maybe Ms. Pacman's Diary? Well yea actually... check it out

Ok I don't even want to get started on this, but you knew it would eventually happen... cloned humans
