So I am tired tired tired... leaning back in the recliner about to doze off and there is a knock on the door. The neighbor boy says Dade is hurt... Angie bolts I jump and run out and I hear him say he's bleeding real bad! Our other neighbors happen to be driving by and see him crashed on the street gushing and they are now walking him home. I run up and say let me see, there is hole in his chin big enough to stick my thumb in. Off to the E-Room!
The E Room is packed ... great at least he's not bleeding so much any more. All in all it took about 2 hours and 4 stitches to close it up. There are carnage pics in the MoBlog if you are so inclined to see.
Took 9 1/2 years for his first ER visit...I think he was making up for lost time!

It took me exactly 40 years for my first ER visit and it was still too soon. Damn knives and raw meat. Come see me at the HSLR this year. I'll hook you up real good. I was chief cook for the only new team last year.

Heart of an Empire
Make fun if you will... it's really you who is losing out. In 10 months I, through my costume, have touched the lives of many many children. I have volunteered at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, The Forth Worth Museum of Science and The Texas Childrens Hospital. I have helped in promotions to save the Battleship Texas, marched in the Neiman Marcus Children's Christmas Parade, volunteered at my local Little League and touched the lives of 1000's of children and adults alike at our appearances. For every scoff and for every laugh directed my way I have 100 fold more in smiling faces begging me for a picture or a handshake or just wanting to meet a stormtrooper. I have to say it has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life. For those who make fun...I think it's you who ultimately lose out. i.am.TK-1247

What a great weekend. Dade and I trooped the HMNS and got a cool behind the scenes tour on Friday. Saturday was family time... Haircuts, Dave and Busters, Galeria shopping and finally The new Simpsons movie. To cool. My review of the movie is simple, if you like the show you'll like the movie, there were 2 parts I cannot stop laughing about.
