Real quicky entry on the weekend before my I get a big shitty attitude like I tend to do on Mondays. Dade played his first All Star game this weekend. It started out poorly, we only scored one in the first inning for starters and Dade struck out! Geeze! It must have been nerves because he struck out again on his next at bat... now let me say this I want to brag a little here. He struck out 4 times the whole season and 2 of those were in one game on a machine that was throwing all crazy! Last practice he got 10 pitches to hit and got 10 hits! So I'm chalking it up to nerves... anyway he redeemed himself later in the game. They played him at pitcher and he was doing pretty good there. Making the throws he was supposed to and what not, but late in the game there was a dribbler up the 3rd base side the kid that hit it was fast, Dade came off the mound and charged it, which is a feat for 7s, but anyway by the time he get's to the ball the runner is 80% of the way there, not a snowball's chance in hell of making that play 7 year old or 12! Anyway he barehands the ball bears down and throws a frozen rope to the chest of the first baseman who stretches and BANG BANG. The ump throws up a big thumb and shouts OUT! It was a thing of beauty! When he threw it I was mad because I was sure that he knew better than to possible throw away a ball like that he knew it was to late HA! Dad was wrong Dade was right and wow that was pretty, sent the stands on both sides into a buzz. Anyway he hit the ball on the 3rd try at an opportune time, we lost 9-10 though 15 hits each so it was pretty damn close.
On another note Angie and I went to see Cinderella Man this weekend. I was expecting some boxing action and a, well, Cinderlla story but I was not expecting the emotional rollercoaster that I got! The first blow hit on one of my nightmares. The man was doing fine in life and lost it all to the point of not being able to keep the heat on or even feed his kids.

At one point in the movie he gets the shit knocked out of him and by all rights he should not even have been there, I won't ruin that part of the movie, but his eyes were blurry, his head is spinning and this is it he knows it's the end of it all. He's on his second chance and he's about to be knocked out! He has a little flashback of no milk, to his kid stealing food, and his inability to pay the electric and suddenly there is no force in the world that could stop him. He looked at the guy who had just knocked the living shit out of him and smiled. He knew that he was at the bottom and there was only one way to go. That moment in the movie thilled me and scared the shit out of me. I wonder if ever put in that situation, how would I respond. I hope it would be with as much courage as portrayed here.

So anyway I say YES YES YES go see it I liked it alot! The fact that it's a somwhat true story even makes it more special.

MIDNIGHT VIEWERS!!!! 16.5 Million! Yes I went. Yes I took Dade. He did great!
I showed up at 7pm at the Gulf Point 30 location. When I arived there was 2000 people already lined up outside. Yes 2000! Well they were showing it on 25 screens, all sold out so it was not so bad really. Anyway I went alone with a Game Boy, a book, and my MP3 player. Dade in turn stayed home and slept(yea sure he did!) anyway Angie brought him up there at 11p. So i figured by myself for a few hours I'd read, play games, listen to some music or a book on tape I had... nope, as soon as I got there I met some very interesting people. We got to chatting and I never ended up using any of the gear. I'm still on a SW high! I only ended up with 1.5 hours of sleep that night but it was worrrrth it! No spoilers for awhile but there is a few things I do want to say.
