Punch in your Name and City and see if you have any money coming to you... I did Morton and Baytown and found out my Grandmaw is owed $75 and my sister a dollar something.
Angie it's probably best you not read the following...
So I woke up this morning to sound of Daisy's collar clanging... this is a normal occurrence. She usually gets Angie or me up at 2am or so to go to the bathroom. I come out of the bedroom and go to let her out. She is very slow to walk to me so I turn on the light in the kitchen and she is there panting heavily. Now Daisy is about 16 years old and lately she's been going a bit downhill. We knew the day would be coming soon but I was not prepared for it this day. She looked up at me and sat down on the floor, that's not normal. Then she kinda fell over and her tongue stuck out a bit. I immediately went to her and tried to help her. I picked her up and as I did blood started to come from her mouth and she pooped. It was at this moment I was sure that there was no cheating death this time. I swaddled her in a towel and tried to comfort her as much as I could and within about 10 minutes her breathing had all but stopped and I felt her heart slowly beat a few more times then stop. I think she woke me up to either help her, or so that someone could be with her when she passed. I only hope that it was not painful. She did not make a noise during this entire process. I sat with her for a while trying to compose myself and just be sure, even though I was sure and then I placed her in boot box still swaddled in the towel. She will find a final resting place in our back yard later.
One thing I failed to mention is Angie and Dade are both away in Colorado visiting Janet. I debated on event telling them but in the end the first thing Angie has said every time we have spoken is how's Daisy... I could not bear to lie to her so I decided I had to let her know.
She was a very good dog and lived a very full long life. This life is the way a dog should live, minus the back surgery. Sleeping with us for 2/3s of her life and otherwise getting to be a dog! She was very loved and will be missed for a very long time.
