Ok so yesterday I went to Home Depot to order some stuff from the Pro Desk... nada they closed up shop at 6p so I ask if anyone can help me and 2 very nice people that worked there said to go down to special services and I could make my order with them and they would take it to the Pro Desk in the morning. Well the yay-hoo behind the desk at Special Services was a high school kid and par for the course would rather sluff me off and tell me he couldn't do it than try and get it sorted out for me. Why do I tell you this... well it seems to me that our whole country is going down the crapper. I swear if you own a store and could get the help to act like they care, the way it used to be when I was 16 then then you would make a killing! Every time I go to McDonalds or Six Flags or anywhere the person behind the counter seems to be oblivious to the fact that you just stood a 20 minute line even though there was only 2 people in front of you... I watched this girl at Burger King pick up her clipboard and count something under the counter and make a few notes and generaly fart around for about 5 minutes after she had served the guy in front of me. Never making eye contact, acting all along like she just had to get this one thing done and f'it that customers had to wait. It seems like this happens to me everywhere I go, I had a girl singing to me at Waterworld once for the rain to come and so we would all have to go home... when I was 16 and working at the mall I would have been fired over this! Unfortuately this seems to be the way things are now, it seems as if the employers have their hands tied and they are afraid to fire anyone these days.... sad state of affairs.

Another weekend in the books... PLayed some Texas Hold'em this weekend. What a freakin hoot that was!!! To fun, and Angie got 2nd ... again! Only bad thing was when we got home on that night a storm had knocked out every one of the sensors on my house alarm save one was shot! I guess some lightning struck near by. So I spent Sunday with a multimeter tracing down burnt resistors and sensors gone awry... I somehow managed to get them all repaired though...
There is a new worm out there called "Peeping Tom" and if you have a webcam guess what it can do :)

I'm all eat up with it now... hope no terrorist do something bad, this is turning out to be really good...

You know I'm a mozilla freako ... well they just relased an iCalendar clone called Sunbird. Looks cool, but I'm not likely to give up the Outlook calendar functionality right now... maybe if they build a way to sync it with Pocket PC PDAs then there is hope.

wow long time no bloggy... I've been waaaay too busy... I can't even remember the last entry so I'll just ramble for a bit...
the last 3 fridays in a row we went to concerts... it was crazy! Kid Rock was first. What did we do, first we've seen KR 2 other times in the last year so we decided to wait to see the weather since it was at the Woodlands, before buying tix... well the day of was crazy and what did I do but find myself trying to get in to the show depite the deluge that was dumping on my head... we got in and the show was as good as always, that guy puts on such a kick ass show!
Next was 3 Doors Down, Puddle of Mud, and Nickleback again at the Woodlands... this time heat wave. It was not Africa hot it was worse, no wind and high humidity! It was a steamer! Anyway the show was cool... NB was awesome. Side story was I decided, after several years of cheap sunglasses, to buy some nice ones, well lo and behold there was a sunglass hut at the venue?!? WTF anyway I knew what I wanted and bought a pair of Oakley Half Jackets so cool! Well I owned them for about an hour by my best guess because by the time the show was over I had lost them. Damn!
Next on the venue was Prince at the Toyota Center. Oooooh baby that was a kick ass show! He jammed good and hard for 2.5 hours in the middle he did a little acoustical him and a guitar set... to cool... for me the best of the three!
I also somewhere along the way bought a Specialized Hardrock Pro ... it's pretty cool and I've had a blast riding with Dade and Angie in the evenings and stuff... Dade and I even went and rode Memorial Park... until he fell and busted up his elbow.
Work is crazy nuts these days tooo... Just last week I was in Orange Count and L.A. for business, see my MoBlog for a few snaps... guy on a Segway and The Viper Room! Cool!

What are you gonna do... I've been to busy really... wow a lot has happened since the last entry...
Vacation... Angie Dade and I went to Florida for a little R&R... pretty cool I have to tell you. We left on a monday for 2 days at Universal Studios in Orlando, we stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort right there at Universal. The cool thing about that was if you have a room key to one their resorts then you get to skip all lines! That's right the lonest we wait the entire time was 15 minutes! and that was for the next show to start! It was freaking awesome... during the evenings we went to CityWalk right there on the site... restraunts and shops everywhere night clubs and movies theaters... ate at Margaritaville one day. Also speaking of movie theaters, Spiderman 2 opened up while we were there and it is a Universal movie so we went to the midnight movie of it! v.cool... we got ride all the rides at Universal like Earthquake, Twister, Jaws, the new Mummy ride which was spectacular! and MIB! We also did Spiderman the ride, Jurassic Park and a slew of others crammed a ton of stuff into 2 days!
Anyway day 3 we packed it up hopped in the car and took off to Daytona Beach... I had booked a resort called The Club at Hammock Beach" from Expedia that came up for Daytona. Well it ended up being a bit north of Daytona... like 25 miles north! WTF! It was brand new not even one month old and some things were not operational yet, but it was badasss...5 star! We spent 2 days there playing in the waves and having drinks at the pool... talk about detox! While this was happening it just so happens that there was a race in Daytona that weekend so the track was buzzing and on thursday moning I got to go to Nascar Meca during an event... I saw a couple of Busch cars practicing but that was it... we stayed long enough to say we were there and get a few pics...
We came back on Friday to a ton of fun... we got in the car and drove to the gas station down the street and bamo dead battery that would not start... took about an hour of jacking with it to finally get it started, took it to Sears dead battery... nice end of the vacation...
Ok where to begin... it started off like any other day... about 8am I started feeling ill... then really ill... I had a fever that was obvious amongst other symptoms... I decided to bail and go home... on the way home I'm feeling a bit urpy so I pull over and hurl in the grass... nice... now I got that "stink" all in my mouth and nose... hey there is a Whataburger I'll whip in and get something to drink... I feel a little better maybe the DC will do me good... shit the line at the drive in is tooooo long I'll just hop out and get it... OK I'm in the store for maybe 3 minutes 5 tops! One person in line ahead of me ... I order and get my drink and then ... someone comes in through the door and says "someone is stealing a black Dodge truck!" OH SHIT! I run outside and there is my truck both doors wide ass open alarm wailing away... right away I can see pieces sticking out of the dash... they popped the door lock(s) then crow barred the dash appart and started trying to jack the stereo... face plate to stereo is gone and so is my new shoulder bag for work... crap! my PDA poof... plus some other unreplaceable items... crapola... it could have been worse. I could have been in it and shot dead!
Anyway on to the insurance and so on still sick 102 fever when I get home finally just don't care sleep... next day still sick but feeling better fever is down to 100 and with Tylenol I break it down to 98! ok let's F with this car insurance thing... turns out State Farm is using some company called CCS so handle the car stereo business, well apparently they are tight as hell... they want to ship me a radio and have me install it!Furthermore they don't make my badd ass Alpine anymore so they want to give me the equivelant Jensen radio! WTF!!!!! are they high! I'm going round and round with them when I go my buddy's body shop in Baytown... anyway he knows the guy who wrote my insurance policy so a quick phone call later and screwwww CCS! Good riddance! What a cluster... by the time I get home I am feeling crappy again fever is back up to 100 and I'm starting to get the dizzy delerium feeling... let me tell you what watching the Matrix while feeling like this is freaking cool... I guess I'll blog later to let you know how it turns out...
When it rains it pours... just this weekend Angie, Dade and I were out shopping and I found this lemon yellow dress shirt I wanted... problem was they didn't have my size... well the store, Express Men has a deal where if another store has it they will ship right to you... cool! The next day(sunday) my sister and me and others get in this nice long discussion about sensor tags and how to cut them off and how people steal with the tags on and stuff... zoom to yesterday, I get a package ... cool my shirt and guess what!!! still has the damn tag on it! and it's the kind that is hard to cut off... the very nice young lady at Palais Royal helped me take it off... geeze!
Now I do not want anyone to think damn and feel sorry for me because you know the way I look at this ... I have big lows and big highs! all this BS is nothing more than another cool story in the 'ol gun belt!
