This is the best link I've had in weeks! Matrix Ping Pong at first I thought it was a crappy SFX job but then I realized what it was and how much effort and coordination went in to this! Very inventive!
Again in the WTF depart? This mysterious black ring appeared over San Antonio ... At first it was unknown what caused it, but it was later determined to be an explosion caused by lightning... full story.

Happy Belated 4th... I have to comment on Independance Day. It was rainy and dreary but in the end it was quite a nice bang! I had a ton of glow bracelets left over from last years halloween night so I decided to hand them all out at the fireworks display. Dade and I walked around the park handing out 300+ bracelets to the kids for about a half hour. I was great that when the lights went out and you looked down the hill all you could see was glow stuff! Everywhere! I hope that I managed to get to some kids that otherwise would not have gotten anything. I know in my 200 square yards of park there was not a kid that did not have a bracelet! There is not much else to say about this weekend, Angie and Dade took off for Kentucky on Saturday morning and since then I have been nose deep in a computer screen.
Big question, should I RSS my blog data? I'm thinking yes it would be a good idea...
Remember that web hacking contest? Well it turns out to be < ahref="http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/internet/07/06/hacker.day.reut/index.html">no big deal.

Nearly everyone has an injet printer right? Well have you ever stopped and thought of how they work? In a simplitic view they shoot a tiny drop of in the correct spot and when coupled with other ink drops you get a picture... well imagine that on a grander scale. These guys built an inkjet printer that uses spray paint cans for the ink jets!

I'd like to say I had one ass kickin' weekend! On Friday Angie took off from work and the 3 of us went to Astroworld/Waterworld. It was raining when we left the house and the weather looked ominous, but it never rained on us while we were there and by the end the sun was beaming. Best part of all... no crowds! Great fun! The park is still a rundown POS but overall it was a good time this time.
Saturday... I worked almost all day but in the evening Angie I wanted to go on a date... so I suggested Capitol Grille. It's very nice if not on the expensive side, but the steak I had was ggggreat! On the way out of there I went to chirp the alarm on my truck and it indicated it had gone off?!?! Hmmm all of a sudden this lady calls me over and says she just saw someone breaking in to my truck and that the alarm scared them away... I have the LP number. We were late to the movie so we went on, Charlies Angels Full Throttle... in a word or two kick ass! Better than the first.
Sunday evening I decided I wanted to pop some fireworks, so we hooked it down to one of those mega stands! Oh man my head was spinning, so much to choose from! I got $50 worth and it lasted about 1.5 hours. The finale, a 300 shot Saturn Missle Launcher! The last 100 go in rapid fire fashion! HOW FREAKIN COOL!
No one liked my entry yesterday? Y'all are to damn quiet... use the comments, tell me when you like something and I'll include more of that crap... anyway on with the day...
Well it's all over the media right now. The RIAA is at it again... I think it's a scare tactic but they are on the prowl for those who share substantial amounts of copyrighted songs. Now the question I have is, is against the law to share the copyrighted songs if you actually own them? Does the act of making them available actually break the law? You know they say that file sharing is to blame for a 20% decrease in CD sales since '99... umm wasn't there a recession? That's ok file a lawsuit against all of your target demo and see how that impacts your sales. DAs!read more here

When I lived in England I heard this alot... American football, bunch of wimps, wearing pads. Most of the English really do not think it's all that big a deal... after all they have Rugby and real football. Well in football(soccer) you do not hit each other, in Rugby they line up and only the guy with ball is hit and not at speed I might add. I enjoyed watching both sports but the thing I noticed most was in Rugby there never any "big" hits. Anyway one of the biggest soccer players in England decided to give American Football a try. The Miami Dolphins were accomodating. He seemed to change his tune when Ricky Williams, or the tank as he called him, blew his doors off... full story here
The coolness in the early morn of early morning dew The sounds of little creatures greeting every day anew The never ending sky above, appears pleasantly blue But all these things remind me how I'm really missing you
Where do the days go... I'm not feeling it today. It was a rush rush rush. I can't believe how the world works. I have a pocket full of money and plans in hand and I can barely get any contractors to give me the time of day becuase I live in Baytown! Insane! I love Baytown, it's not that far out of the city... Kingwood is further from downtown than Baytown but no one pays us any mind. It's great I get to get away from the Houston city proper and don't have that far of a drive.
Finally we are getting close video enabling chat! iChat I've piddled with this for years hopefully it will catch on soon!
Now this is innovative! Say your out drinking and you have one to many. The responsible thing to do is call a cab, most people won't because they don't want to leave thier car at the club/bar/watering hole. Well now you can call Scooterman and a sober person on a folding motoscooter will show up fold up his scooter, throw it and you in the car and drive you home! Then he unfolds his scooter and he's on his way! How cool!
If you can get to RedNova.com you could see incredible pictures taken by a new satelite put up by the ESA... very impressive.

That's because Baytown is perceived as a hillbilly town like Pasadena but smaller. Most people in Houston couldn't even tell you what direction Baytown is. . I wouldn't live there if it was free, but that's just what I think.
Another weekend in the books... Went to see The Hulk on Friday and I thought it was good but not great. He's big and green and when he's on screen it was awesome! It was a bit slow in places though. I will say this... there have been a lot of people bad mouthing the CGI in this movie saying it doesn't look realistic... I'm sure having seen a fictious 20 foot tall green comic book character in real life many times over that he may indeed not look right to these people. To me who has not seen a fictious 20 foot tall green comic book character in real life he looked awesome. I never thought oh that didn't look right... it's a good summer comic book munching your popcorn kind of movie. Nuf said. Saturday we had a drive in movie at my house and invited the neighborhood over... it was quite fun!

Are we here in Texas in for a terror attack on the 4th of July? Seems like a meaningful day to attack us? Intel says yes we are... of course they are talking about Texas, where everyone has a freaking gun in thier pocket... all I have to say is if your picking states to pick on Texas has got to be a scary proposal... if we suspect anything here it's shoot first and sort 'em out later!
