Halloween - Monster Mud |

Monster Mud
Monster Mud is an interesting thing...you mix joint compound with laytex paint. It creates a mud like
slurry of goo that you can then apply to things to give them texture or strength. I was introduced to
MM and Halloween for that matter by Terror Syndicate. I
do not think they invented MM but they have taken it to a new level. The basic idea is you create a
structure of wood,pvc and or chicken wire, then dip dorp or burlap into the mud and apply it to the
structure kinda like paper mache. Well when it dries it dries very hard and very durable(heavy).
I used Thompsons Water seal on my scarecrow after it was dry to waterproof it. Add a little paint and
you ready for display. I also used the mud to texture my Death Chair.
