In order to control the air powered props I built a small control pad. A quick lesson on air control.
Most air powered props are pneumatic cylinders that when you add air pressure the cylinder extends.
So to control this air you must have an air tight solenoid. The solenoids I were harvested from a washing
machine, they were originally used to control the hot and cold water. They operation is simple add
120v AC the solenoid opens and lets the air through. So simply enough I needed a switch that could turn
on and off 120v AC. I used a light switch and a light socket. A quick 2x4" frame and 4 switches with
outlets. This allowed me to control 4 props at one time from one central location.
