They had the press conference for #3 today... it turns out the seatbelt really did break and that a crash at 160mph into concrete is going to hurt or possibly kill you... I'm glad they finally said something but lets let it go now...
I open my eyes today and still wish I would just go and buy a PDA... I know, no technogeekweenie should be without a PDA but i keep waiting for the next model that is about to come out. I all but decided over a year ago that Pocket PC was the was to go. That PALM business was to slow, no color, not enough apps, etc... Well the 2g PPC devices are slated to hit the shelves in the next few months when I get hit with this little tidbit...Palm aquires BE WTF! Ok my favorite OS has been BE for sometime now. All object built no legacy code easy to use windowy look and fast like you've never seen before. Made my little p100 look like pII450 when I tried it out... you would be surprised at how fast your system can be if you remove the legacy M$ stuff. ... so what does this all mean... likely PALM is going to get a major upgrade in it's OS and I once again will be waiting for it! oh the horrahhhh!

What did I do on Saturday? Let's see... I sat and sat and sat and waited... ughhh anyway we set out to see what kind of new car Angie wanted to buy. She has been looking at Eclipses and really liked them but this new Acura RSX was out and then there was Chrysler 300M that I wanted her to get. We went to a Mitsu dealer on the south side of town and got the low down, great deals on the 2001s and there was virtually no difference between them and the 2002s. Ok lets look. Took a test drive liked the car did not have the options and colors we wanted. No matter we are only looking right now anyway. Off to the Chrysler dealer 300Ms nice looking to me not sporty enough for Angie. SCRATCH! Ok on to the Acura dealer. The first Acura dealer we get to looks like a used car lot! They have 3 new Acura and 50 used something else's... drive on! Ok head north there is another Acura dealer next to a Mitsu dealer on Rankin. Pull in same thing, almost no new Acuras and tons of used P.O.S.es we get out anyway. A salesman takes us to the back and there is one RSX back there, it's an S-Type COOL! and it's black another plus! I thought the S-Type was supposed to be loaded? It looked plain on the inside, it also had perfed leather seats which Angie hates! I have to admit no matter how fast it goes and how fun it is to drive I was disappointed when I sat in it. Ok SCRATCH that one to I guess we will look for an Eclipse now. On to the Mitsu dealer next door. Tons of 2001s almost all silver! Don't get me wrong I love silver on a car but I think the Eclipses come in 2 colors silver and something else. In other words when is the last time you saw an Eclipse that was not silver... Angie wants a Black GT with Autostick and the Infinity sound system. Hey there's a black one over there ... everything she wants! Ok lets talk about it.
"I can not do 3.9 financing on anything but sticker."

"well that works out to be $40 per month more, forget it. Look if you can't do better how about I trade in the Explorer and you can do better on that and then we will get where we can make a deal." (we were going to trade it from the beginning but I told him we weren't)

... ok lets cut to the chase here... back and forth we went for what seemed like forever in the end they gave me $6.2K for my trade and sold me the car for invoice all at 3.9% we had to talk to the GM, you know the guy that the salesman always goes back and forth to every time you say something. I guess even he got tired of going back and forth, I always thought that would be better anyway let me talk to the man who can make decisions. I ended up about $700 away from what I wanted to pay but I did not do my calcs based on getting an Autostick, I was basing it on a manual tranny. So I think I came out alright. Other than having to spend 4 hours to get this deal done Angie is happy and we got the low rate.
Ok I use google for all my searching but this new search engine has appeared... Teoma is supposed to be very good. More relavant and faster searches... the database does not have near as much as google but they are infants still and that will catch up. give them a try.
First off wow holy crap were those some good seats I got from Big G last night. Ok we were sitting about 8 rows behing the front of the first base dugout! I'm talking softball close. You could hear the players talking on the field. My head is still spinning! THAnK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Big G!
